Germany’s DARK MILLENNIUM were formed in 1989. With the release of their demo tapes “The Apocryphal Wisdom” (1991) and “Of Sceptre Their Ashes May Be” (1992) the band heavily stirred up the German death metal underground as one of the most promising – and surely one of the most unique – death metal bands of that time. While other followed the paths paved by international acts as Death, Morbid Angel, Entombed, Obituary or Morgoth, DARK MILLENNIUM’s vision always was to create something special and new, something not instantly comparable to the big names of the scene. Now, the groundbreaking demos of this legendary German death metal band are being released as fully authorized version, created in close cooperation with the band and remastered by Patrick W. Engel (Asphyx, Iced Earth, Morgoth, Dissection etc.). “Out Of The Past” celebrates timeless gloomy death metal, the ever thriving scene of today should immediately embrace.

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
